I was amazed to find out that “Galileo Was Wrong: The Church Was Right”, the “First Annual Catholic Conference on Geocentrism” was NOT a joke conference. http://lanyrd.com/2010/galileo/
They aren’t particularly strange or weird, but I really enjoy the names given to Crime Fiction conferences—“Love is Murder”, “Sleuthfest 2011”, “Mayhem in the Midlands”, “Bloody Words 2011” etc: http://lanyrd.com/topics/crime-f...
