Dropbox is definitely the wrong tool for this—you’ll find yourself running in to all sorts of weird problems very quickly if you attempt to use it this way.

If you want a tool that helps with instant feedback pair programming, take a look at a collaborative text editor such as SubEthaEdit for OS X http://www.codingmonkeys.de/sube... or one of the web based equivalents such as HackPad.
