google-mobwrite. Neal Fraser’s terrifyingly clever differential synchronization algorithm (for SubEthaEdit-style collaboration over the web) is now available as an open source Python and JavaScript library.

  2. google-mobwrite is more than just a single application though - the demos show how you can use it to build a collaborative spreadsheet and form as well as just a textarea. Likewise, the server component doesn't seem to care what application it is being used for. It's really a toolkit for implementing your own collaboration environments.
