Is it fair to call it "Mobius"? Really, you've taken something with one surface and given it two. Isn't that a reverse-mobius?

If slice lengthwise around a mobius, you get two linked loops. The trick here is to slice a spiral path around the bagel in such a way as to simulate a straight cut around a mobius-bagel with a half twist. So, um ... maybe.
