Simon Willison’s Weblog

It is Ryanair policy not to waste time and energy corresponding with idiot bloggers and Ryanair can confirm that it won’t be happening again. Lunatic bloggers can have the blog sphere all to themselves as our people are far too busy driving down the cost of air travel.

  1. I'm really curious as to the context of this quote, but the Guardian page you link to seems to be a 404.

  2. Article worked alright for me. Maybe it was an intermittent problem?

    Last time I was in the UK, I thought about flying RyanAir, but the part of me that is freaked out about flying across Europe for less than it costs to go to a movie (not including picking up a small drink and popcorn) won out.

    @Shawn

    IMO, the context is actually worse than the quote in isolation.

  3. It seems it is also their policy not to waste time making their website work reliably. Maybe they should charge people for accepting a session cookie.

  4. For fans of Arrested Development, on Ryanair's map, the blue part is the land.

  5. "Welcome, Please download Microsoft Silverlight to view our destinations map."

    Yet more context to aid our understanding of this particular incident.
