Amazon CloudFront. The Amazon CDN front end for S3 has launched. Traffic is 2 cents per GB more than S3. I’d like to see a price comparison with existing CDNs; I have a hunch it’s an order of magnitude less expensive.

Depends which CDN you're comparing it to. Premium CDNs (e.g Akamai), yes - it's a *lot* cheaper, but the service is far inferior.
When compared to cheaper CDN offerings (Cachefly, SimpleCDN) it's pretty similar.
I think most of their customers will be people already using S3 and are underwhelmed by it's performance (like me).
I agree with Jason, it has a lot to do with performance. If enterprises start to utilize cloud storage for their branch offices, it will be so that their end users can view a 10 page scanned document in 10 seconds, not 2 minutes, like they are seeing.

At least one of the CDNs, Panther is already targeting Amazon. On using S3 as a "poor man's CDN" they say:
"You wouldn't drive a nail with a screwdriver, so don't use a storage solution to deliver your content"They also claim this comes at lower rates than S3, even though their prices aren't public (often a sign of higher prices).
Hi I posted a price comparison between CloudFront and an (unfortunately unnameable) CDN in my blog. Its in german but you should be able to get the gist of the table:
