Google Doctype. So now we know what Mark Pilgrim’s been doing at Google... heading up a project to create an encyclopaedia of web development. The JavaScript UI for browsing it is a bit weird (though you do at least get real pages if you disable JavaScript in your browser).

  1. Again, zero love for Opera : (

  2. Apparently the JavaScript UI works in Opera 9.27 but not 9.5 (which is actually a preview release). Don't be mislead by the weird interface though - that's not actually Google Doctype, it's a separate project by a different team called "docreader" - which works against any documentation in a code.google.com wiki, not just Google Doctype.

You can browse Doctype properly (no JS required, works just fine in the latest Opera) over here.

  3. It didn't work for my 9.27 at first, but now I even can't find links to docreader with any browser.

By 'zero love' I also mean that compatibility tables do not mention Opera, only IEs, FFs and Safari.
