And to be clear, I wasn't referring to Steven or anyone else in the Django forum, but rather the stuff I saw over in some security forums when I tried to research this issue.

And the more time I spend in the security world (thanks to my thesis) the more I agree with statements like this. Security folk can be a little over-the-top.
