Firefox 3 Antiphishing Sends Your URLs To Google. Stories like this crop up every now and then, but no one ever seems to mention that the Google Toolbar has been doing this since it was released (more than five years ago) provided you have PageRank display turned on.

  1. Antiphising feature already *exist in Firefox 2.0*. User can select one of two options for Antiphising feature,
    1. Check the URL against a blacklisted URLs downloaded from google.
    2. Send each URL to Google.

By default, first option is enabled. The user has to change the option, if they want to check every URL visited with Google. I think its a fair decision. There is unnecessary hoopla over this.

I dont use Google Toolbar, So I cant comment on that.
