France Telecom Supports OpenID! France Telecom is the parent company of Orange. Apparently all 40 million France Telecom subscribers now have an OpenID.

I don't have much to say about the Lifehacker article really - it's a reasonable overview, it misunderstands a couple of points (the "How do you prevent false identities from being registered?" bit didn't really make any sense) and it re-inforced some well known problems (openid.net not telling you where to get one). The comments attached to it show that people are "getting" OpenID in increasing numbers, which is promising.
