  5. That's always disappointed me. There is no reason why usernames in web apps shouldn't allow spaces - not allowing them is a legacy of the command line, where it /was/ important. Web hackers: sort yourselves out.

  6. I've had problems in the past with non-alphabetic characters in my surname too - not an optimist, just Irish :)

    I tried 'other...' and then entering http://flickr.com/people/eatyourgreens directly. That worked!
