The Implications of OpenID

My second presentation at XTech 2007. Unfortunately there’s just the Matt Webb keynote to go, and I spent most of the conference worrying about my talks. There’s a lot to be said for speaking as early as possible.

This one somehow ended up taking the format of a 45 minute lightning talk. It seemed to work OK though.

Full slides (and PDF download) are on slideshare.

  1. It's good to hear that even seasoned conference speakers spend all the conference before their talk worrying as well.

    Sorry!

  2. Jolly good slideshow. I think next time I upgrade something of mine that has an OpenID login box (e.g. http://zzzen.com/salon), I'll add a [?] icon that links to it.

  3. You shouldn't worry too much about your talks, I went to both and they are in my top list for the whole conference!

  4. A good talk and the slides are good for those catching up on SlideShare, but I would have preferred you to have only shown every third slide or so and just spoken the rest - it would have seemed more natural.

  5. Great slides Simon. I'm sorry I wasn't there to see them but with 178 I can only imagine that you went even faster then the normal Willison pace. Nice design too!

  6. Great slides. I hope to see you speak about OpenID one of these days. I'm just now getting into it and have used your posts and presentations to help me wrap my head around it.

Meet you at SXSW a couple years ago.

  7. I saw the Google video of your presentation there, and wanted to tell you that you have a great speaking style. Even though I didn't learn a single new thing from it, I watched it a couple of times for ideas to use in my own presentations.
