  1. First, I use quoting so that I can reply to certain parts of an email, not for having history handy. Second, the assumption that an @gmail.com address means its user must use Google’s webmail to access it is wrong. :)

  2. Good point about gmail users not necessarily using the webmail interface; I often use my regular mail client for that purpose.
