    My local ruby brigade calls it duck punching. They're *way* beyond monkey patching. Ahem.

  2. Dependency Injection never was cool in Ruby really. Jamis tried to get the community interested in it several years ago and no one bit.

    Monkeys are still patched though, and ducks punched.

    But in any case, the public recognition of a mistake is something that we hear of all too infrequently.
