Google My Maps: Bodeans. I’ve been talking about how useful a simple tool for creating custom maps would be for ages... looks like Google beat me to it. Here’s one I created showing the location of Bodeans, an excellent Kansas-style BBQ joint in Soho, London. It’s a shame the URLs suck.

I like how the photo "validates" the map. You can see cars parked on the right side of the street and a Do Not Enter sign on D'Arblay Street, which confirm the one-way arrows on the map.

I was able to chop down the URL to:

It seems like /google-account/slug would be a reasonable way...

At http://www.mymapsplus.com there is a tool to embed maps you make with My Maps into a website or blog
