Folks will know I don’t usually do this kind of thing, but ... we’re hiring. I’m looking to add to our Technology and Design team at BBC Radio and Music Interactive. We’re responsible for designing and building all the BBC’s radio and music-based interactive services, from our radio and music web-based products, through to our new DTV channels and WAP services. I manage the team.

And now, we’re looking for a couple of software engineers, initially on a 6-month contract—good solid programmers, based around Perl, Python etc. Helping make public-facing apps like Challenge Lawro, building internal workflow tools like the wiki Tom wrote about recently, doing R&D stuff around DAB Java, all kinds of things.
I’m not looking for a job, but if I was I’d jump at the chance.
