  1. Llamatron rules the world, plain and simple.

  2. Pardon my ignorance ... but who is he, and why does that merit a "wow"?

  3. Jeff Minter is a British games industry legend - he wrote a whole bunch of bizzare but fun arcade games for the Commodore 64, most of which involved Llamas (Attack of the Mutant Camels is a classic). He then went on to write Tempest 2000 and Tempest 3000, two hypnotically surreal frantic shotemups for various consoles. He has now gone back to his roots and is releasing small, fun games for the PowerPC from a farm in Wales.

    It's probably a UK gamer thing :)

  4. Actually he's currently working on linking VLM effects with a shootemup.

  5. I was just reading about that - it's for a game called Unity he's developing with Lionhead for the GameCube. Looks pretty :)

  6. Did somebody say "Commodore 64"? Man! I loved that thing. Particularly the games by Epyx. Never heard of this Minter guy, though.

  8. Commodore 64 was fun (I had a 128 as a child). For some reason Load "*", 8, 1 seemed perfectly reasonable to my mind. They had great games for that platform.

  9. Joe, you had a 128 as a child, Mmmm! I had a boy!
