Validator warning

As Scott Andrew has noted, the W3C’s beta validator is now returning the following warning as part of it’s XML output:

This interface is highly experimental and the output *will* change -- probably even several times -- before finished. Do *not* rely on it!

As I said in my post announcing the web service interface, it may stop working at any time. Treat it as an experiment / proof-of-concept and you won’t get burnt if/when it breaks.

  1. Wanted to reply to your last post (http://simon.incutio.com/archive/2002/10/29/#) , but it wasn't working too well for some reason. Anyhow, wanted to ask - I've got Mozilla set to block any unrequested windows. Is there a way to override this setting (I used to use pop up ad filter and I could hold down CTRL to allow pop ups to occur).

  2. Not as far as I know - I think the Mozilla team want to include a small icon in the status bar whenever a popup is blocked that you can click on to "unblock" it. Other than that the Mozilla preferences bar might be of interest - it adds options to your toolbar allowing you to toggle colours, javascript and popups: http://xulplanet.com/downloads/prefbar/

  3. Thanks, that could be useful. The popup blocker is a lot more effective then the external one I had for IE. Doesn't seem to crash my system either.
