More geek books

A £5 Amazon gift voucher combined with Amazon.co.uk offering free shipping on orders over £39 has lead me to order 3 more books: Information Architecture for the World Wide Web, Don’t Make Me Think! and The Elements of Style. They should arrive on Monday. I wonder if All Consuming can pick up on links to isbn.nu?

  1. The Elements of Style is available online for free: http://www.bartleby.com/141/ I haven't cross-checked that site against my paper copy, but it appears to be complete. It is nice, of course, to have a paper copy.

  2. Where'd you get the voucher? :) I've tried to order Don't Make Me Think from the local library for the nice round fiqure of 74p, sadly that was 3 months ago and there's no sign of it :/ Do say if it's any good :)

  3. I'd seen the Elements of Style online, but I needed to bunk my order up by a few quid to get free delivery (I'm a sucker like that) and you can't go wrong with a paper copy of something like that. The gift voucher was handed out to us in a User Interface lecture at Uni :)

  4. I imagine that All Consuming /could/ pick up on isbn.nu links, but the guy who runs it works for Amazon and therefore might not put the code in ;-)

  5. Hehe, I didn't know that. Interestingly enough the guy who runs isbn.nu used to work for Amazon as well :)
