  1. It's worth pointing out that the UI in Opera 7 Beta 1 is not supposed to be considered finished. The Opera folk seem to have pushed this beta out primarily to start getting more real world testing done on the new rendering core in the browser. That said mpt certainly has some valid points, but also some I think are wrong (or he declares something as bad without suggesting a viable alternative). I opine on each of his points in my (shiny new) weblog, so I won't go on about it here.
