  2. I freaked out too. Rule #4325 for OpenID providers: redesigning your UI should be avoided at all costs. It freaks people out.

    Plus, rounded corners and gradient fills are an indulgence on a network service you only briefly pass through.

  3. Sorry for the confusion guys. We did try to notify users via the "news" section of the site both before and after as well as with getting the word out to folks. I agree it can be a shock but the redesign was a long time coming. We're always looking for more feedback ... thanks for the post Simon.

  4. My problem was that I hadn't been using MyopenID very long and therefore hadn't familiarised myself with much about it beyond the site header! So that contributed to the shock. Also, the (anti-phishing) user photo that I'd uploaded had disappeared.
